Introducing Lola, a Canine Concern* approved mixed-breed dog

Lola has passed the Canine Concern* care dog assessment, which allows her to visit a variety of settings when accompanied by me, her human mum, Kate. Lola is fully insured to visit community based locations such as care homes, schools, hospitals, to name a few, this is upon completion of a prior risk assessment. She has also been insured as a dog that can accompany me in therapy sessions. Within this environment, Lola's gentle presence adds another layer to a therapy session, very often her presence allows the client to feel more at ease. Lola would never attend a session if the client feels uncomfortable with dogs.
Lola is approximately 6 years of age, she is up-to-date with all of her vaccines, flea and worm treatments; evidence can be provided upon request. Lola has annual veterinary checks and is groomed regularly. She eats a mixture of kibble and leftover cooked meats.
As Lola spent her early years in Bosnia, we are unsure of her life before being fostered there, other than her having puppies at some point. In August 2021, Lola travelled to England, she was then adopted by myself and my family. When in a relaxed, secure environment, Lola enjoys playing with her soft toys, she loves to be fussed and happily accepts treats at every opportunity. Lola loves to find a sunny spot in the house or garden to sunbathe in.
Lola is used to being with adults and children, however can sometimes feel threatened by smaller children that get very close to her. When Lola gets to know other dogs, she becomes their best canine friend, however at times she can feel threatened by unknown dogs, for this reason Lola remains on the lead at all times, unless in a secure, safe environment. Lola does sometimes display her animal instincts and can bark at or chase birds, bees, cats and rodents. For this reason she has been given the nickname 'Missy-chief', as she is a mischievous character at times. Lola dislikes loud noises, such as fireworks and can be reactive to large vehicles accelerating when walking near a main road. She is mischievous, inquisitive and yet incredibly loving and comforting.
